This UK - based quartet shows their most dynamic side, presenting harmonically elegant arrangements and compositions along with intense, driving music that fans will love. Led by the famous saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer Shabaka Hutchings, Sons of Kemet is a political modern jazz supergroup from the UK, with musicians from around the world. Their sound combines modal and free jazz, African rhythms, Caribbean dub, and Middle Eastern timbres, as seen in 2018's well - known Your Queen is a Reptile. This is their 4th record and 2nd on Impulse! Compared to the previous album, it features vocalists and focuses more on fuller compositions. Guest artists include Kojey Radical, Moor Mother, Angel Bat Dawid, Joshua Idehen, D Double E.
