SONGS OF PAIN

Songs of Pain is Daniel Johnston's first folk album. Recorded on a basic tape recorder in 1980 - 1981 in the basement of his parents' West Virginia house, it was initially released on cassette and given to friends. This album showcases Johnston's unique folk - singer - songwriter talent.

To enjoy Songs of Pain, simply insert the cassette into a cassette player. Make sure the player is in good working condition. Avoid exposing the cassette to extreme heat, cold, or moisture, as this can damage the tape. If the tape seems to be running slowly or skipping, gently clean the heads of the cassette player with a cleaning kit. Store the cassette in a cool, dry place when not in use to keep it in good shape.
