Gregory Alan Isakov, a Colorado - based singer, aimed to simplify things on his new album, Appaloosa Bones. This is a departure from his Grammy - nominated 2018 album, Evening Machines. 'I set out to make a really stripped - down record,' Isakov says. 'I wanted to step back a bit as Evening Machines was so into complex arrangements. I wanted a more raw musical experience with this one.'
