Shortly after his solo debut album, Half-Light, and about 2 years after leaving Vampire Weekend, Rostam graced the Third Man Blue Room stage in Nashville. Third Man was honored to host him as he presented a set of indie electronica that was both deeply thoughtful and cheery, featuring bongos and a string section. This live album is special as it only includes songs from Half-Light, tightened up from touring and with unique live nuances and charm. The vocals are expertly delivered, and the strings are elegantly crafted. For those who missed the live show, the playful fourth track 'Wood' is a highlight, creating a lush, dynamic world. This live album was directly recorded on 2' tape in the Blue Room.
