No Burden

Hailing from Richmond, VA, Lucy Dacus and her band have been touring the East Coast and Midwest since the release of her debut album 'No Burden' on EggHunt Records in February 2016. Raised on musical theater and Bruce Springsteen by her parents, she self - taught guitar chords. In high school, friends introduced her to bands like Broken Social Scene, Yo La Tengo, and Ava Luna, sparking her love for the Richmond music scene. Despite initial plans to study film, Lucy finally pursued music. With a talented band including Miles Huffman on drums, Mike Ferster on guitar, Jacob Blizard on guitar, and Noma Illmensee on bass, her solo croons are more powerful, with honest and compelling lyrics at the forefront. 'No Burden' was recorded in Nashville in January 2015 with producer Collin Pastore and a great team.
