In 2017, Molchat Doma unleashed their debut album, 'From the Roofs of Our Houses', introducing a bold new voice in underground music. This album quickly won over passionate fans on Bandcamp and other streaming platforms and was initially released on CD and cassette. Now, Sacred Bones Records is excited to present it on vinyl for the first time. Molchat Doma, meaning 'Houses Are Silent', formed in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, blends post - punk, new - wave, and synth - pop. Their dark yet danceable music, with a strong gothic touch, pays homage to past masters while creating a unique sound all their own. The band consists of Egor Shkutko with his deep monotone Russian singing, Roman Komogortsev handling guitar, synths, and drum machine, and Pavel Kozlov on bass and synths.
