With heavy drums, soaring falsettos, euphoric tambourines, sharp horns, and Barrett’s steadfast devotion around a 40 - piece choir, it creates a holy slab of gospel funk. Pressed in limited quantity in 1973, it was mainly sold from the pulpit of Barrett’s Mt. Zion Baptist Church and vanished in Chicago’s south side for 45 years until Numero dug it out. The ten - song album has been remastered, and its cover updated to match Barrett’s vision. On the back, it says, 'After listening, you'll be glad you didn't pass it by!'
